10 NATURAL TREASURES
fantastic healing substances
This
list doesn't claim to exhaust the discussion on herbs and natural
remedies. There are a lot of books on this subject written by authors
who are much more qualified than I am. I mention only a few substances
which I have personally tried and from which I have derived huge
benefits. It could be a starting point for your own personal research.
Clay
- compresses - masks
Mix with water, knead a little bit, and spread a layer at least
5 millimeters thick. Allow it to act until it has dried. Amazing,
anti-inflammatory and regenerating. It heals bruises, joint pains,
skin rashes, and irritations. Excellent for making the skin more
vital and elastic. It helps to (partially) erase scars (in this
case, the compress should be left on for the whole night).
Lettuce
or Cauliflower Leaves
Soothing and anti-inflammatory effect. Let them boil and then apply
like a compress. Leave it in place for twenty minutes or longer.
Propolis
A remarkable anti-bacterial substance. Consume orally. Be careful
not to overdo it. By now, they put it in everything.
Essential
Oil Of Lavender
Not the alcohol-based perfume, but the oil obtained by pressing.
A hemostatic and healing superdisinfectant. Ideal for bleeding wounds.
Resolutory. It doesn't burn. Don't use on scratches and on superficial
abrasions (it will definitely burn there, but don't ask me why).
Tisane,
or herbal tea: fennel seeds, star anise and liquorice (in equal
parts)
For stomach problems (colitis, acidity, etc.). Excellent also for
colic in breast-fed babies: the mother should drink a cup every
night and the baby should suck a small quantity with the bottle.
This tisane also helps relieve the nausea associated with pregnancy.
Sage
Leaves
Beneficial, toning and regularizing. Add finely chopped to salads
and cooked vegetables. Excellent also rubbed on the teeth, it cleans
them and tones the gums.
Red
Chili Pepper
Moderate use of it is toning. Use a chili pepper tisane to alleviate
joint pain (compresses! Don't drink). Do not use if the skin is
irritated.
Garlic
Antibacterial. It should be sucked raw for sore throats. Or mixed
with olive oil for compresses, again for the throat (spread and
heat with a warm cloth). Toning and energizing, it lowers cholesterol.
Anti-flu agent (used also as a suppository with a drop of oil, doesn't
burn). Regulator of arterial pressure. In short, an immunogenic
bombshell.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Cold Pressed
Toning, laxative, excellent added to hot water for enemas. The gases
emitted by a bottle of oil cures styes (look at the bottom of the
bottle for 5 minutes, slowly moving the pupils). A few drops of
warm oil in the ear relieves ear inflammations.
St. John's Wort Oil
St. John's wort flowers steeped in cold-pressed extra virgin olive
oil for 15 days. Miraculous for skin irritations, particularly those
of the male glans and other delicate areas (no other medicine has
such fast-acting effects for ulcerations of the glans). These very
common sores are caused by the bad habit of not drying oneself after
washing. They cause a strong burning sensation during penetration,
and disappear in less than 12 hours. If they persist, there are
other causes and it is better to consult a doctor. Excellent also
for rheumatism and joint pain (massages).
